FERA Gathers Unique European Filmmaking Voices In Video Podcast “The Director’s Voice”
FERA (Federation of European Screen Directors) launches “The Director’s Voice”, a video podcast gathering filmmakers Jasmila Žbanić, Agnieszka Holland and Alexander Nanau as some of the most unique voices in European film today in interviews about their craft, creative space and careers, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the audiovisual sector and the (co)production ecosystem in Europe.
“The Director’s Voice” brings in focus the perspective of critically acclaimed filmmakers talking about their process and their films, their artistic vision and creative authority at a time of significant changes in the European audiovisual sector. As “a cinema of the directors”, as Agnieszka Holland puts it, the auteur-driven European filmmaking today is enabling filmmakers to create works that move audiences and carry important insights about who we are as humans and as a society.
