FERA is looking for its next CEO

Are you passionate about the power of storytelling and the people who shape it? Join us at the heart of Europe’s creative community, where screen directors are not just heard – they are championed.
As primary audio visual authors, screen directors deliver the intimate human connection we all seek through story. The director’s creative drive to make sense and give meaning to the worlds we live in, the cultures we inhabit, forges work that is vital to both artistic and democratic freedom of expression. Directors don’t just add to the audio visual value chain, they author the value.
Founded in 1980, FERA – the Federation of European Screen Directors – is the leading independent voice representing European directors working in film, television and streaming. Based in Brussels, FERA brings together 47 member organisations from 32 countries, speaking on behalf of over 20,000 audiovisual authors across Europe.
Funded by its members who elect its proactive Board of Directors, FERA stays truly independent and united in defending the cultural, creative and economic interests of directors at national and EU levels. Ken Loach is the current Honorary President of this dynamic network.
We are now recruiting a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the organisation through its next phase of strategic development and policy engagement.
