This exclusive pre-screening of “Breaking Social” by Swedish filmmaker Fredrik Gertten was co-organized by EFAD – European Film Agency Directors and the Swedish Film Institute.
The event, which took place on March 28 at the Galeries cinema in Brussels, is part of the #rendezvouswitheuropeancinema initiative, and was the first of its kind as EFAD will for the first time show a documentary film to EU decision makers and the public, in partnership with European associations from the cultural and audiovisual sectors: FERA, CEPI, CICAE, Cineuropa, Creative Europe Media, DAE, European Coalitions for Cultural Diversity, European Producers Club, Europa Cinemas, Europa Distribution, Europa International, EFA, Cinema Galeries, SAA.
The documentary Breaking Social is the latest feature from the award-winning Swedish director and journalist Fredrik Gertten. It will have its world premiere ate the CPH:Dox festival in Copenhagen in March. Breaking Social uncovers the pattern of corruption and Kleptocracy erasing the social tissue, followed by social uprisings.
