FERA Welcomes UFUS AFA PROTECTION as a new Associate Member
We are delighted to announce that Serbian collective management organisation (CMO) UFUS AFA PROTECTION has officially joined the Federation of European Screen Directors as an associate member, strengthening our shared commitment to defending and promoting the creative and economic rights of screen directors across Europe.
This new addition brings fresh perspectives and energy to our pan-European network, and we look forward to their active participation in FERA’s advocacy, policy, and cultural initiatives.
Founded in 2016, UFUS AFA PROTECTION is a CMO representing film authors and rights holders in Serbia. Following the enactment and publishing of the tariff for the right of retransmission in 2017, the organisation began collecting remuneration for its members in 2018. Today, they represent over 600 members – mostly directors – and has concluded several cooperation agreements with other CMOs. They have been a member of the Society of Audiovisual Authors (SAA) since 2024.
Stronger together, we continue to work for a creative and diverse audiovisual sector in Europe, one where directors’ voices are heard and valued.
Welcome to the FERA community!
