
REPORT: FERA at MIA Copyright roundtable in Rome

The 5th edition of the International Audiovisual Market, MIA, took place in Rome on October 16-20, 2019. MIA covers all the segments of the audiovisual industry gathering more than 1500 professionals and policymakers from 58 countries, and provides a platform to discuss key topics in a constantly changing audiovisual market
On October 19, Alberto Simone, 100autori delegate and FERA Executive Committee Member, spoke on the panel “Whodunit – An expert session on the new EU Directives on the Copyright Law “, part of the framework of the cross-cut special program “Creator’s Map”, and organized in cooperation with 100Autori and with the support of SIAE. The panel gathered 10 speakers ranging from representatives of screenwriters, directors, producers, and legal experts to discuss the new EU Copyright Directives and impact of the recent EU copyright legislation on the European AV landscape.
