FERA partners in the Conference on the implementation of the 2019 EU Copyright Directive

The Conference on the implementation of the 2019 Copyright Directive was held at the Maison Européenne des Auteurs & des Autrices – MEDAA on June 23 in Brussels. The event was co-organised by the European Composer and Songwriter Alliance (ECSA), the Federation of European Screen Directors (FERA), The Federation of Screenwriters in Europe (FSE), and The European Writers’ Council (EWC), with the support of the Cultural Creators Friendship Group (CCFG).
The conference brought together industry representatives and policy makers to discuss the current transposition of Articles 18 to 23 of the 2019 EU Copyright Directive into national law (one year after the deadline for implementation) and delved into the concrete next steps for implementing those provisions.
